Manchester United running out 0-1 winners against Citeh in the early KO. Not the best performance you would've seen but effective, Ronaldo's penalty sealing the 3 points and putting United 8 points clear at te top. Vassel missed a penalty which never should've been. Now its all over to Arsenal on Sunday night, a result for them at the Emirates would see United crowned as the Premiership champions for the ninth time.
Everton garuanteed themselves a Uefa cup spot after a convincing beating of Portsmouth. While Blackburn comfortably beat off Newcaste at St James' Park. A surprising result at the Madejski where already relegated Watford beat Reading who were aspiring for a place in Europe with Marlon King scoring a goal.
Liverpool again put out their B team against Fulham and thankfully for them Fulham won 1-0 to virtually save themselves from the drop. West Ham did Bolton Wanderers no favours with a convincing 3-1 win hampering Bolton's European dreams while helping themsleves in a bid to remain in the Premiership. Tevez scored two and created one, the hammer of the season surely. Wigan are looking relegation in the face with a 0-1 defeat at the hands of Boro at the JJB.

I'd say Charlton and Wigan are the most likely to go down this season along with Watford.

Who says the Premiership isn't the best league in the world ? grin

Sunday 6th May :
Arsenal 1 - 1 Chelsea

And its finished grin United have finally officialy clinched the title. The draw sees the table reading Manchester United 88 Chelsea 81 with just two matches remaining for both the teams. United again won the title while not playing themselves. It remains to be seen where the title will be lifted, will United rub it in to Chelsea by lifting it at Stamford Bridge ? which is there first match after winning the title, or will they lift it at OT in front of their home fans in their last match of the season against West Ham.
