| RONALDO PLEDGE TO FERGIE
CRISTIANO RONALDO has finally pledged his future to Manchester United and insisted he has no intention of leaving Old Trafford this summer.
Red-hot Ronaldo has been consistently linked with a move to Barcelona or Real Madrid this summer but the £45million-rated star has committed himself to United and declared his intention to stay there for the best years of his career.
"I have a good contract in financial terms and what really matters to me now is to show my game," said Ronaldo.
"It's a good sign to know I have so many clubs interested in me, such as Real Madrid.
"It means I am valued and that my work pleases. But I'm very happy where I am and I hope to stay at Manchester United for many years."
Ronaldo's confirmation of his desire to stay is a huge boost for boss Sir Alex Ferguson. United want to reward the 22-year-old with a new deal that will make him the club's joint-highest earner on £110,000-a-week. | |

| Anything is possible. Real Madrid can choose to pay off his dues if they place the correct offer. Its possible. | |

| I posted this in another thread but in brief... Ronaldo will not be leaving Manchester United this summer. He has made it clear and so has the club. Fergie knows how important the lad is and he is not going to entertain offers for him. Even if he doesn't sign a new deal the current one is till 2009, so there is no real hurry in signing a new deal. I'll give him atleast another two seasons before he leaves (or when Fergie/Quieroz retire/leave the club). | |

Where did you read that ? I still haven't seen any new news concerning the contract of Ronaldo anywhere. I'm pretty sure its only a rumour. | |

| Ronaldo's a good lad, I thought his level of performance would really go down after the world cup tiff but he seems to be improving. Even if he wants, he can't move to some other club as he has signed a contract with the Reds. | |

| he is a great player and each day gets better. He has a bright future at Old Trafford if he stays. I don't think it would be good for him go to Real, Milan or Barcelona, but if he wants get out there's any thing to do. | |

- The Frenchman has missed the last seven matches with a hamstring problem and injuries have limited him to just three starts since the turn of the year.
It had been thought that the Reds striker was edging closer to his comeback, but after complaining of a tight hamstring while the team trained in Rome last week, Sir Alex Ferguson is keen not to risk the Parisian against Roma.
“He’s not fit,” said the boss. “He felt his hamstring was a bit tight in training on Friday in Rome. Therefore, we have to be on the cautious side.
“There’s no point in bringing somebody back who is not 100% fit and then them suffering further injury. Maybe he will be fit for Saturday’s cup tie against Watford, but not for the Roma game.”
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bad time for Saha. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is not playing his best this season and he is very pleased to injuries. Maybe Sir Alex Ferguson uses Alan Smith as center forward together Rooney on Tuesday. | |

Fantastic match. Manchester was absolutely safe at Old Trafford and showed category for win and kept the result.
Manchester will face Milan x Bayern Munchen...
On Saturday Man faces Watford for Semi-Finals FA Cup whilst Chelsea faces Blackburn Rovers. | |

| Another defensive casualty for United. Rio Ferdinand with a groin injury. Looks certain to miss the match against Sheffield United at home midweek, but hopefully will be back against Boro. Which means we'll either see Flether starting RB or Cathcart starting , unless Sheasy can make it back. Whatever happens the title simply has to come back home, its meant to be . | |

| 8 out of 11 players making the PFA Premiership Team Of The Year is a just acknowledgement of the quality of football and the team effort with which Manchester United have played this season . Not to mention Ronaldo with the double swoop at the PFA Awards Just need to top it off with a trophy or two. Bring home the title ... | |

| What a great performance by the team. We've got the title back now . This squad deserves every bit of glory that comes its way. 0-2 down and end up with 2-4. The celebrations after the match said it all. Great performances all round the pitch. Scholesy and Rooney stood out. And Eagles...what a goal son . Evra was the only one who had a poor game by his standards. Bring it on Citeh... With the prem almost wrapped up we can shift our attention to other competitions. Oh how I want that UCL trophy now . | |
